Is the early morning access at Stonehenge really worth the extra cost and effort?

Took a special access tour before the crowds hit, and being inside the stone circle as the sun rose was just magical. It feels incredibly peaceful and you can really appreciate the scale and mystery without hundreds of people around. What are your thoughts on getting up early for sights like this?

I agree 100%. The "special access" or "early bird" tickets are almost always worth the extra cash for the big bucket-list sights. The difference between seeing Stonehenge from behind a rope with a thousand people versus being right there, quiet, as the sun comes up is huge. It turns a quick photo stop into an actual experience. I'd do that for any major spot, like the Vatican or the Acropolis. Crowds just kill the atmosphere.
