What clothing is appropriate for a female tourist in Nairobi city

Do I need to cover my shoulders and knees, or are casual clothes okay in the city

Casual is fine in the tourist areas like Westlands, but I recommend modest dress (covering shoulders) when walking around the central business district just out of respect
