Yes, if you look outside the main tourist areas. Find a good market like Borough Market or stick to smaller, independent pubs away from the big landmarks.

Markets like Borough are great, but even just stepping a block or two off the main roads around places like Covent Garden or Leicester Square makes a huge difference. You find much better, more local spots that way. Totally worth the small walk.
